A conventional (battery powered) leg  transmitter. To avoid the antenna touching the ground, due to the relatively short tarsus length, it was divided in two sections, pointing respectively upwards and downward. Note also that after finishing all the indvidual  codes with the Blue long ring, German country code was Blu-White-Blue (left tibia).
