The picture shows a solar powered transmitter (with the solar pannels upwards). Note that, due to the length of the antenna in relation to
the tarsus, and to avoid it touching the ground, a small yellow ring has been included above the intertarsal articulation. A metal spring covers the base of the antenna, and protect it avoiding that the bird would break it with its bill. |
